On days when we are barking too much, our mums and dads put ball dummies in our mouths to keep us quiet. You can see that does not stop us having fun! You might also notice that I am overrepresented in this group. Mum says I am far too talkative for a little dog.
The dog park at Subiaco Common is circular and partly hidden from the lake and fountain. It was opened in 1998 after the residents of Subi Centro, with help from Mayor Henderson and her little dog Dougal, fought hard to have this park for their dogs. I am pleased they succeeded as it is a very social place. The park also provides access paths for less mobile residents.
There are sometimes twenty of us little dogs there in the evenings. We catch balls and play chase but we also spend a lot of time greeting every dog that arrives.
The park is beautiful in autumn when all the coloured leaves fall on the ground and my feet make a crunchy sound as I run through them. On hot summer days I love to put my little feet into the cool stream. Unfortunately that usually means I have to have a bath to clean my muddy feet.
We have also seen many colourful sunsets and rainbows.
