Cottesloe Beach Dog Walk

Hi all,

I was a bit suspicious that spring was here as my allergies were bothering me. I was scratching my face and biting my feet.

Mum suggested that it was about time we took ourselves down for a walk along North Cottesloe Beach, as the sand would have lost its winter chill. The salty water would also be soothing.

Surprisingly, when we spied the sea it was tossing and turning and pouring froth onto the seaweedy sand.

A few dogs were dipping their bodies in the ocean but I decided four wet little paws were enough. The wind was whipping the doggie’s wet tails as they ran along the beach. There were even little spatters of rain.

We did not mind though, as it was fun for me to race after my ball and to meet new friends. I was reminded of all the great times we had over summer.

You can see from Mum’s photos that I was happy! Roll on summer, KoKo

Of course, after a beach walk we headed to the cafe for a coffee for Mum, and a Puppicino for me.

A Trip to the Station Street Markets Subiaco

This morning at the Station Street Markets my Mum and I ran into friends who were visiting from Sierra Leone. Without the very social markets we might have missed them!

Emily, Henri and Olivia were all delighted to see me. We had lots of pats and cuddles. I even kissed Henri! (He is only 3 years old).

It was a super day for me, for not only did Val (from Val’s Variety Corner) give me a little ice-cream, (from the Ice Gelato Stall), to satisfy my craving for something creamy and sweet, but I also tried some chocolate crepe from the French stall.

I love the Subiaco Street Markets, KoKo

“Exercise and play are better than food treats!!!”

Oh No! I’m in trouble. The latest newsletter from my local Subi Vet contains some bad news for me. I am hoping my Mum does not read it.

The Vet staff say “To keep your dog healthy – “Exercise and play are much better than food treats!!!

You all know how much I love treats! I eat healthily (most of the time) but I’ve learned to only do my clever tricks, like dancing, if Mum offers me a treat.

When Greg weighs me at the clinic I am always 8.5kg so I am not fat like some of my Labrador mates (sorry to dob you in doggies). Also my mum is pretty stingy – her treats are only tiny.

I also do lots and lots of exercise padding around Subiaco reading the Weemails left by my doggie friends. When Mum is not lazy and takes me to a new big park, I run and run and have lots of fun.

But I love my treats! Especially those bits of BBQ sausages outside Bunnings on a Saturday.

Please Greg in your next newsletter say it’s ok to give your dog tiny treats sometimes. I’ll be your friend forever.
