I’ve recovered! KoKo

Wow, that was close. I had nearly given up on living. I felt so ill and miserable.

A primaeval urge told me to dig a hole behind the shed in our back yard.

Luckily a friend Tahnee found me in the process and brought me back inside for a cuddle.

Greg and his team filled me with drugs so I slept in a little cage for two days,

Finally yesterday they took me out for a proper wee in the yard and I felt inspired to eat a bit of chicken after five days of not wanting even to drink. I was getting better! When Mum appeared at the door I was so excited I tried to jump into her arms through the wire door!

Thanks everyone for your concern. I hope I never accidentally eat such a nasty bug again.

Don’t worry Eagles fans – I’ll be outside my gate wearing my West Coast Eagles Jacket and cheering the footy team on this weekend as usual.

KoKo’s trip to hospital

Hi Dog Mates,

I have never felt this flat, I am barely moving and my stomach is very sore. Mum can’t believe I have not barked in two days.

Greg, the vet, has suggested I stay in overnight with a drip to feed me water and antibiotics. Mum was very sad to leave me but we hope this will solve my problem.

In the morning when Mum comes to visit I will try to be sparkling. Weak Woofs from KoKo

KoKo feeling ill

Oh dear, I feel awful, my tummy is tense with pain, I feel as if I might throw up (again) and I am not my usual bright self.

Mum thinks I ate too much last night. I kept yelling at her to give me more food.

Or maybe I found something at Leighton Beach when she was not looking.

Whatever it was, the short enjoyment I might have felt is in the past. I feel dreadful.

So when Mum took me to my favourite park and I would not even check my Wee-mails, she knew I was not pretending.

After two injections from the vet, including a painkiller, I am still not feeling well. Even peaceful sleep won’t come to me.

I hope that I can write to you tomorrow and tell you all is well.

(Certainly, Mum’s  wallet is not very well either!)
